How to make Mushroom Swiss Burger
📝 Ingredients
- Beef Patties :
- 600 g ground beef
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp sweet paprika powder
- 1/2 tsp cayenne powder
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- Mushroom Sauce :
- 200 g white or button mushrooms (sliced)
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp AP flour
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 beef bouillon cube
- 1/2 tsp salt (to taste)
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper (to taste)
- 1/2 cup water (or more)
- Burgers :
- 4 slices Swiss cheese
- 4 buns of choice (brushed with butter & lightly toasted)
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise (divided, optional)

- 2Mix all the ingredients for the beef patties in a big bowl & form 4 equal discs, set aside.
- 3Melt butter in a pan over medium high heat, add mushrooms & cook for 5 mins.
- 4Reduce heat to medium, add the rest of the ingredients & cook for 10 mins until softened & browned or sauce has reached desired consistency (add more water if necessary)
- 5Taste to adjust seasoning & remove from heat.
- 6Heat a grill pan over medium high, add patties, cook for 8 mins on one side, then flip & cook for 5 mins on the other side, until cooked through.
- 7Top each patty with a slice of cheese in the last min of cooking (cover with a lid)
- 8Remove patties & place on toasted bun bottom (smeared with mayo, or not)
- 9Top patties with sauteed mushrooms, place the bun top & serve with sides or sauces of choice.
