Green pea and ham soup

Ingredients
- Butter : 1 tbsp
- Onion: 1. chopped
- Potato: 1. peeled and diced
- Chicken broth: 16 oz
- Frozen peas : 17.6 oz
- Ham: 10.6 oz. thickly sliced

Add the butter to a saucepan over a medium heat. Then add the chopped onion and cook for around 5 minutes until softened and translucent.

Add the peeled and diced potato,then add the chicken broth and leave to simmer for 5 minutes.

Add the frozen peas and bring to the boil. Remove from the heat and add to a blender. Blend until smooth,then return to the pan and stir in the diced ham over a low heat. Serve warm from the stove.
