Ingredients
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 cup (or abt 250 g) ground meat of choice
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 large yellow onion (finely diced)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tbsp AP flour
- 1 cup beef/chicken stock or water
- 1 cup sour cream or yoghurt
- 1/2 tsp salt (to taste)
- 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper (to taste)

Heat butter in a saucepan on medium high, add minced meat & fry till browned & caramelised (abt 5 mins)

Add onion, garlic & bay leaves, fry till onion turns translucent.

Add flour & stir for 1 min.

Add stock/water, salt & pepper, bring to a boil.

Cook for abt 10 mins or until liquid has thickened into a gravy like consistency.

Lower heat, add sour cream & stir until well incorporated.

Simmer for another 10 mins (consistently stirring & scraping the bottom with a spatula)

Taste & adjust seasonings & cook until sauce reaches desired consistency.

Ladle sauce over carbs of choice, garnish with chopped fresh herbs of choice (usually parsley or dill), sprinkle freshly ground black pepper &

serve with fresh or pickled vegetables of choice (I steamed some carrots & french beans)
