How to make homemade applesauce | super quick and healthy

With just a few apples and an immersion blender you can have homemade applesauce on the table in no time. Deliciously healthy, refreshingly sweet and completely to your taste.

1 serving

Ingredients

  • 2 (or more if you want to make a lot) apples, preferably sweet-tart varieties like Gala
  • a splash of rice or oat milk
  • maple syrup
  • cinnamon
  • lemon juice

Instructions

  1. 1

    1. Wash the apples thoroughly and don't peel them (unless you really want to). Remove the core and stem and cut them into large pieces. Puree the apples with an immersion blender and add small splashes of plant-based milk until it reaches the desired thickness. It may sound odd to put milk in your applesauce, but you really can't taste it! You can also use a little water if you prefer.2. Now add maple syrup and cinnamon to taste, and a very small amount of lemon juice. Mix everything briefly. Your fresh applesauce is ready! Fancy a refreshing apple breakfast? Stir in the chia seeds and raisins and put it in the fridge for about 4 hours. I really like it on a cracker with peanut butter.
