Fantastic Fig-Nut Bar

These fig-nut bars are a delicious and nutritious treat made from dried fruit, oats and macadamia nuts. Completely no-bake and ready to slice and enjoy in no time.
Ingredients
- 125 g dried figs
- 125 g dates
- 90 g rolled oats
- 3 tbsp raw cocoa powder
- 4 tbsp flaxseed
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 2 tbsp honey
- 50 ml water
- 50 g macadamia nuts
- 25 g desiccated coconut

1. Mix the dates and figs in a food processor until you have a paste. Then add the oats, cocoa powder, flaxseed, chia seeds, honey and water to the bowl and form a large ball. Add the paste to the oats. Chop or pulse the macadamia nuts coarsely, but not too fine. Then combine everything with the desiccated coconut in the processor for another 1-2 minutes.

2. Use a 20-25 cm rectangular baking pan — it's the easiest for cutting the bars later. Line it with baking paper and spread the mixture evenly in the pan. Press it down firmly so the bars are about 1.5 cm thick. Chill the pan in the fridge for 2 hours.3. Slice into bars. You can wrap the bars in baking paper and tie them with colored string — it's also fun to do with children.Enjoy! X
