These Chocolate Swirl Milkshakes are the perfect summertime dessert for all ages! With the hot weather lately, I've been craving ice cream and a milkshake is the best way to cool down and enjoy something sweet. Enjoy!
📝 Ingredients
- Good quality vanilla ice cream or gelato
- Vanilla paste or extract
- Milk or half and half
- Chocolate syrup
- Caramel sauce, optional
- Sprinkles, whipped cream, or other decoration, optional
👨🍳 Instructions
- 1Pull out your blender and scoop about 2 to 3 large scoops of vanilla ice cream into it. Add 2 tsp of vanilla paste (I love the vanilla seeds in it) and 1/2 to 1 cup (118ml to 237ml) of milk. Put the top on the blender and turn it on, blending the ice cream into a milkshake. Test with a spoon to see how thick it is. If it is too thin add more ice cream, if it is too thick, add a touch more milk.
- 2Using a clear glass, drizzle some of the chocolate syrup along the inside while turning the glass, creating an interesting swirling pattern. Then carefully pour the blended milkshake straight into the center of the glass, keeping the chocolate swirl in place. Sprinkle the top with some whipped cream, sprinkles, or other decorations if desired for a fun textural contrast. Repeat with remaining milkshake and chocolate syrup.
- 3Enjoy!
