  • 3 ounces leftover brisket ((cubed, sliced or shredded))
  • 1 to 2 tbsp mayo ((or butter))
  • 2 slices bread ((French, sourdough, white or brioche))
  • 2 ounces cheese ((cheddar, Monterey jack, gruyere, or gouda))
  • 1-2 tsp BBQ sauce
  • Thinly sliced red onion

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. 1Preheat a heavy-bottom skillet or griddle over medium heat. Crisp up the brisket just until it is warmed through.
  2. 2Spread a light layer of mayo (or butter) on the outside of each slice of bread.
  3. 3Layer half of the cheese, brisket, BBQ sauce and then the remaining cheese again.
  4. 4Transfer the sandwich to the skillet and griddle it low and slow, flipping after 2 to 3 minutes, when the cheese is all melted and the bread is golden.
