This Traditional Italian Tiramisu is a luxurious classic dessert option. It has a creamy mascarpone filling, coffee-soaked savoiardi biscuits, and a cocoa powder topping. Serve during special occasions or as a sweet treat.

📝 Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup of sugar ((or 150-200g depending on your preference))
  • 500 g of mascarpone cheese
  • 350 g of ladyfingers (depending on the size of the dish)
  • 1.5 cups of brewed espresso or instant coffee
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder (for dusting)

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. 1Crack an egg and divide the egg white into one bowl and the yolk into another. Set the egg whites aside. Repeat this step with the remaining eggs.
  2. 2Add sugar to the yolks and whisk on medium speed for 3-5 minutes, or until the mixture is light, thick, and frothy.
  3. 3Add mascarpone cheese to the yolk mixture and whisk for 2-3 minutes until fully combined. Set aside.
  4. 4Whisk the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  5. 5Gently fold a quarter of the whisked egg whites into the yolk mixture. Continue folding in the remaining egg whites gradually. Set the filling aside.
  6. 6Pour brewed coffee onto a plate. Dip each ladyfinger into the coffee for 2-3 seconds.
  7. 7Arrange the coffee-soaked ladyfingers in a dish. Spread half of the creamy filling over the ladyfingers and smooth it out. Repeat with another layer of soaked ladyfingers and the remaining filling.
  8. 8Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight or for at least 6 hours.
  9. 9Dust the tiramisu with cocoa powder before serving.
