Easy Italian Strawberry Mascarpone Cake

- 150 g granulated sugar (3/4 cup)
- 120 g flour (~3/4 cup, "00")
- 3 eggs (medium size, at room temperature)
- 300 g strawberries (10 oz)
- 1 orange zest (or lemon)
- powdered sugar ( for decoration)

Mix: Place the mascarpone in a bowl. Mix it with a spatula to soften it a little. Then add the sugar.

Add: Beat with a mixer until smooth. Then add the eggs one by one. Combine the ingredients.

Beat on medium speed for at least 5-6 minutes to get a fluffy, creamy mixture. Now add the orange (or lemon) zest.

Add the sifted flour a little at a time and mix to incorporate.

Add: Wash and chop the strawberries. Add the chopped strawberries to the mixture and mix well.

Pour the mixture into the pan lined with baking paper. Spread the mixture well and level the surface with a spoon.

Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 50 minutes. Test with a toothpick to ensure it is done.
