📝 Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg King fish
  • 1 tsp Chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • Salt
  • 2 medium Onion (chopped)
  • 2 chopped Tomato
  • 3 Green chili
  • 1.5 tbsp Ginger (chopped)
  • 1.5 tbsp Garlic (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp Coriander powder
  • 1.5 tbsp Kashmiri chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Garam masala
  • 2 cups Water
  • 4-5 tbsp Coconut oil
  • Curry leaves
  • Salt

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. 1Marinate the cleaned fish pieces with ingredients listed under "for marination" and keep aside for half an hour. Heat 4 tbsp oil in a pan and fry the marinated fish pieces.
  2. 2Add chopped onion, ginger & garlic,curry leaves and green chili to the remaining oil and saute till it is done. Add all masala powders and stir for a minute. Once the masala powders are fried well, add tomato pieces and saute till the oil starts appearing.
  3. 3Add 2 cups of water & salt. Let it boil. Once it starts boiling add fried fish pieces and cook in low flame for about 7 - 10 minutes or until the fish pieces are covered in the gravy. Serve hot with rice.
