📝 Ingredients

  • 1 head Iceberg Lettuce
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable Oil
  • 1/2 Onion (diced)
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh Ginger (grated)
  • 1 cup Mushrooms (chopped)
  • 1 Chili Pepper (sliced (optional))
  • 1 lb (500g) ground Chicken (or ground Pork)
  • 3 tablespoons Oyster Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil
  • 3 tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 1 can Water Chestnuts (drained and diced)
  • handful fresh Cilantro (chopped)

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. 1Sauté Aromatics - heat oil in a frying pan. Cook onion, garlic, ginger, mushrooms and optional chili peppers until fragrant (about 3 minutes).
  2. 2Brown Meat - add ground chicken and cook until browned, (about 5 minutes).
  3. 3Season - mix in Oyster Sauce, Sesame Oil, Soy Sauce.
  4. 4Add Vegetables - toss through Water Chestnuts (and any other vegetables) and cook for another 2 minutes.
  5. 5Assemble - spoon the meat filling into a single lettuce leaf, creating individual wraps. Garnish with fresh chopped cilantro.
