Easy Berry Sauce with Fresh or Frozen Berries

It doesn't get any easier than this 10-minute berry sauce. Use whatever kind or combination of berries you like, fresh or frozen, to make this delicious dessert sauce that's bursting with the flavor of ripe, juicy berries.
Ingredients
- 5 - 6 cups (900 grams) of any kind or combination of berries, fresh or frozen berries
- 2/3 cup (66 grams) granulated white sugar
- 1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon salt (to taste)
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
- 1 - 2 tablespoon ground sumac (optional)
- 1 - 2 teaspoons lime zest

Add the remaining berries to a large bowl...: Add the remaining berries to a large bowl and pour the berry puree over them. Gently stir until all the berries are coated with the puree. Sprinkle the lime zest into the berry sauce or save the zest to sprinkle over the top of the sauce after spooning it onto whatever dessert you plan to use it on.
