Cheese Bread

Ingredients
- 1 large loaf Italian bread ((1 pound loaf))
- 6 Tbsp unsalted butter (divided use)
- 3 cups shredded sharp colby jack cheese
- 1 6 oz container garlic and herb Alouette cheese OR Boursin cheese
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2-2/3 cup thinly sliced green onions
- 3 medium garlic cloves (minced)
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
- 2-3 Tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
- fresh parsley for garnishing (OR additional green onions)

Preheat the oven to broil. Cut the Italian loaf in half and place side by side on a large baking sheet. Spread each half with 3 Tbsp of softened butter. Place into the oven to lightly toast.

In a medium bowl combine the colby jack cheese, Alouette cheese, mayonnaise, green onions, minced garlic, salt, black pepper and paprika. Stir to evenly distribute.

Divide the mixture between the two toasted bread halves spreading evenly from edge to edge. Sprinkle each loaf with Parmesan cheese

Return the bread to the oven. Broil for 5-7 minutes or until the cheese is golden brown, melty and bubbly.

Slice into 1-inch pieces and serve immediately garnished with parsley or additional green onions.
