- 1--- TO MAKE THE SWEETENED CONDENSED MILK: ---
- 2In a saucepan over medium-high heat, add the milk and sugar, stirring immediately to combine. Bring to a boil, then reduce to low and allow mixture to simmer until it reduces more than 50% and becomes creamy. NOTE: Do NOT stir at any point.
- 3Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla and butter, until combined and butter melts completely.
- 4Let it sit until cooled completely. NOTE: If any sugar crystalizes on the saucepan, remove it with a spoon.
- 5Once cooled, transfer to a mason jar and cover and refrigerate for up to 1 week.
- 6Use it in your favorite recipes like Classic Southern Banana Pudding or My Grandma's Baked Southern Banana Pudding or this Espresso Martini without Kahlua [Mocktail] or in the mornings in a bowl of Creamy Jamaican Cornmeal Porridge or Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal. Perhaps even this No-Churn Vanilla Ice Cream with Rainbow Sprinkles or No-Churn Butter Pecan Ice Cream or No-Churn Cookies + Cream Ice Cream.
- 7Enjoy!
