When I think of warm weather in Colombia, I can't help but think of watermelon and paletas(popsicles). Making paletas at home is not only a lot of fun, but we can make whatever flavor we are craving. I had some watermelon on the counter and I decided to make my kids a frozen treat, and
📝 Ingredients
- 10 cups fresh watermelon chunks (seeds removed)
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
👨🍳 Instructions
- 1In a blender, combine the watermelon and water. Blend and pulse quickly, until just the watermelon has broken down – this should take about 60 seconds.
- 2Pour mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a large bowl to remove the seeds.
- 3Return the strained watermelon juice to the blender and add the condensed milk. Blend until smooth. Pour the mixture into the molds.
- 4If using cups, you’ll need to insert wooden popsicle sticks. Freeze for about 4 hours, or until firm.
