Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 lbs. organic chicken wings, disjointed
  • 2 tsps On Everything All-Purpose Blend
  • 2 tsps smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 medium apple, sliced with skin on ((You can use Gala, Honeycrisp, or Sweet Tango))
  • 2 Tbsps Extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 Tbsps unsalted butter
  • 1 cup pure maple syrup
  • Cooked sliced apples
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/4 tsp ground allspice
  • 1 Tbsp cornstarch + 2 Tbsps warm water

Instructions

  1. 1

--- SEASON THE CHICKEN WINGS: ---

  2. 2

In a large bowl, add your freshly cleaned + rinsed chicken wings along with the olive oil, On Everything All-Purpose Blend, smoked paprika, salt, and sliced apples, mixing everything together until chicken is fully coated. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes. NOTE: For best results, it's best to marinate chicken overnight in the refrigerator or for up to 2 days.

  3. 3

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or non-stick foil paper and a non-stick griddle pan for the best results. NOTE: You can also spray a bit of oil spray to the griddle pan if needed to avoid sticking.

  4. 4

--- BAKE THE CHICKEN WINGS: ---

  5. 5

Lay each chicken wing side by side onto the baking sheet (about an inch apart) or griddle pan. Repeat until all chicken wings are assembled. Bake chicken wings for 25-30 minutes or until crispy and golden. NOTE: You'll want to remove the cooked apples from the pan to add to the glaze.

  6. 6

--- WHIP TOGETHER THE MAPLE APPLE GLAZE: ---

  7. 7

In a saucepan over medium-high heat, add the butter and let it melt. Then add in the maple syrup, cooked apples, cinnamon, thyme, allspice, and whisk everything together until it begins to boil. Reduce heat to low and allow the sauce to simmer for 1-2 minutes before adding in the cornstarch mixture (which should be "milky" in consistency once mixed together), stirring until the glaze forms a "sticky" consistency.

  8. 8

Pour maple apple glaze atop the wings evenly and then bake for another 5-10 minutes or until the glaze is "baked onto wings".

  9. 9

Serve wings immediately with your favorite side (fries, garlic bread, mashed potatoes, mac + cheese, rice, etc.) or salad.

  10. 10

    Bon Appetit!
