Air Fryer Green Bean Fries Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh green beans (rinsed, dried and trimmed)
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs (whisked)
  • 1 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste (optional)

    Preheat air fryer to 370 degrees.

    Add in the fresh green beans into the air fryer making sure that they are not overlapping. You may have to do this in two batches. Air fry for 2 minutes. Remove from air fryer onto a paper towel lined sheet pan. Let them cool for a few minutes.*

    Meanwhile, set up the breading station by arranging three plates.

    Place all purpose flour on the first plate. Place whisked eggs into the second plate. Finally, mix together panko bread crumbs, parmesan cheese, and garlic powder in the third one.

    Preheat the air fryer to 390 degrees.

    To bread the green beans, dip each green bean into the first plate with the all-purpose flour, then into the eggs, and finally into the panko breadcrumbs mixture.

    Carefully transfer them into the air fryer basket. Air fry for 5 minutes making sure to turn them halfway through.

    Remove them from the air fryer and allow them to cool for a few minutes. If preferred, season them with salt and pepper to taste before serving.
