Spicy Salmon Bowl
This spicy salmon bowl just bursts with flavors, textures, and is full of nutiriton! It is on our weekly dinner rotation for good reason!
Ingredients
- 2 lbs Salmon, cut into 1 inch cubes (I use the center cut or the thicker parts of the salmon for this recipe)
- 2 tbsp Avocado Oil
- 2 tsp Garlic Powder
- 2 tsp Smoked Paprika
- 1 tsp Cayenne Pepper
- 1 tsp Dried Italian Seasoning or oregano
- 1 tsp Salt (may need more salt)
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
- 2 Avocados, cut into slices (*half an avocado per bowl)
- 1/2 Red onion, thinly sliced, pickled or raw (*see blogpost on how to pickle)
- 1 cup Shelled Edamame
- 2 Persian cucumbers, sliced
- Cooked Brown rice (or rice of choice)
- Fresh Lemon's juice
- Everything but a bagel seasoning or sesame seeds
- Cilantro, chopped
- Chipotle Aioli (*you can buy your own or make something similar-see blogpost above)
Instructions
- 1
Stir together all the spices. Season the salmon generously and evenly with this seasoning blend.
- 2
Heat up a nonstick skillet and add the avocado oil to the pan. Once the pan is hot, add the salmon pieces to the pan making sure not to overcrowd the pan.
- 3
Cook for about 4-5 minutes each side to achieve a nice sear but making sure the salmon is also cooked through. You can cover the pan after flipping the salmon if you would like to ensure doneness.
- 4
Once salmon is cooked, squeeze with fresh lemon juice and set to the side.
- 5
To assemble your bowl. start with a serving of rice then top with the salmon. In addition, add the edamame, cucumber, red onions, and avocado to the bowl. Drizzle with chipotle aoili, fresh lemon juice, cilantro. and the sesame seasoning.

Enjoy!
