These Caramel Stuffed Baked Apples are topped with an oat brown sugar crust. These baked apples are filled with caramel candies and baked until the apples are soft, the caramel is gooey, and the topping is crisp and caramelized!

📝 Ingredients

  • 4 medium apples (any kind; I used Honeycrisp)
  • 8 unwrapped caramels
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup rolled oats
  • 1/3 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 tsp cinnamon
  • 4 Tbsp butter, chilled
  • Caramel Sauce
  • Easy Pecan Praline Sauce (linked below)
  • Homemade Whipped Cream (linked below)

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. 1Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line an 8x8 baking pan with foil.
  2. 2In a small bowl, mix oats, flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon together. Cut in butter with a fork or pastry cutter until the mixture is crumbly (resembling coarse crumbs). Set aside.
  3. 3Cut off the tops of each apple.
  4. 4With a melon scoop or spoon, scoop out the core of the apple. Make sure to remove all seeds, but leave the bottom in tact so that you have an apple "bowl."
  5. 5Place 2 caramels in each apple, and sprinkle with cinnamon (1/4 tsp for each).
  6. 6Generously sprinkle with the crumb topping.
  7. 7Bake for about 20-25 minutes.
  8. 8Top with whipped cream, caramel sauce, or pecan praline sauce.
  9. 9Serve immediately.
