  3. 3Sauté the onion for 2-3 minutes.
  4. 4Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 20 seconds.

  6. 6Then, pour in the tomato sauce, mustard, maple syrup, Worcestershire sauce, liquid smoke, and apple cider vinegar.
  7. 7Stir and let it simmer on low heat for 20-25 minutes or until the sauce gets thick
  8. 8--- Cook the ribs ---
  9. 9Turn your oven to 275°F (135°C) and turn the broiler on high. Make sure the oven rack is near the broiler.

  15. 15Put the baking sheet in the hot oven.
  16. 16Bake the ribs for 15 minutes or until the sauce gets darker. Watch closely, as broilers can vary.
  17. 17Take the ribs out of the oven, turn them over, and spread two more tablespoons of BBQ sauce on each rib.
  18. 18Put the ribs back in the oven, but don’t cover them with foil this time. Cook for 15 more minutes.
  19. 19Take the ribs out of the oven and let them rest a little before you serve them.
