📝 Ingredients

  • 2 salmon fillets(with or without skin) (*1)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce (*2)
  • 2 tbsp cooking sake (*2)
  • 2 tbsp mirin (*2)
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp plain flour
  • 1 tbsp cooking oil (*3)

  1. 1salt the salmon fillets: Sprinkle salt over the salmon fillets on both side.
  2. 2leave it: Leave the fillets for 10 minutes.
  3. 3mix teriyaki sauce ingredients: Mix soy sauce, sake, mirin and sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat till the sugar dissolves and set it aside.
  4. 4pat dry the fillets: Pat dry the salmon fillets with a kitchen towel on both sides.
  5. 5dust flour to the fillets: Dust the plain flour over the fillets on both sides and remove excess flour with a brush.
  6. 6heat oil and cook salmon: Heat the oil in a frying pan and add the salmon fillets skin side down.
  7. 7fry the fillets: Cook the fillets for 2 minutes over medium-high heat.
  8. 8turn the fillets over: Turn them over and add the teriyaki sauce to the pan. Simmer until the teriyaki sauce thickens and the other side of the salmon is cooked.
