📝 Ingredients

  • 2 pounds boneless short ribs
  • 1 1/2 cups Apple Juice
  • 1 cup Aloha Shoyu
  • 1 cup Sake
  • 1 cup Mirin
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 1 1/2 cup Water
  • 1 quartered Onion
  • 1 quartered Carrot
  • 4 cloves Garlic crushed
  • 1 Bay Leaf

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. 1Season and brown ribs.
  2. 2Remove from pan.
  3. 3Add vegetables, brown and remove from pan.
  4. 4Add sake and mirin.
  5. 5Bring to a simmer to cook off alcohol.
  6. 6Add remaining ingredients and bring to simmer.
  7. 7Add short ribs back to pan, cover with vegetables.
  8. 8Cover pan with foil and braise in oven at 325 for 2.5 hours.
