Easy Canned Tuna Pasta

This delicious easy canned tuna pasta with egg slices is the perfect recipe for a quick dinner during the busiest days of the week.

Ingredients

  • 250 grams (8 3/4 ounces) tagliatelle
  • 350 grams (12 1/3 ounces) canned tuna
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 200 ml (1/2 pint (236 ml)) whipping cream
  • 200 ml (about 1 cup) Béchamel sauce
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 small onion to cook the pasta
  • 50 ml (1/4 cup) olive oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

    Cook the tagliatelle in a saucepan with salted water and a small peeled onion. Turn off the heat, drain the water and set aside.

    Cook the eggs in a saucepan with water. Turn off the heat, let the eggs cool a little and remove the shell. Set aside.

    In a small bowl, combine the cream, béchamel sauce and the nutmeg. Set aside.

    In a large nonstick skillet, add the chopped onion, minced garlic and the olive oil. Sauté over low heat until the onion starts to brown, stirring occasionally.

    Add the tuna (drain the tuna well before adding it to the pan) and season with pepper. Stir and cook over medium-low heat for about 2 to 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    Add the tagliatelle and mix very well.

    Pour in the cream mixture, stir and cook over medium-low heat for about 3 to 4 minutes.

    Turn off the heat, decorate with boiled egg slices and serve.
