'Bagels And Lox' Breakfast Pizza Recipe

With everything bagel-seasoned crust, herby cream cheese, smoky salmon, crisp veggies, and briny capers, this breakfast pizza is a crowd-pleasing brunch recipe.

- 1 1/2 teaspoons granulated sugar
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 3 tablespoons olive oil, divided
- 2 tablespoons everything bagel seasoning
- 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 2 teaspoons chopped fresh dill
- 2 teaspoons chopped fresh chives
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 ounces smoked salmon
- 1/4 red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/4 English cucumber, thinly sliced
- 1 ripe avocado, pitted and sliced
- 2 tablespoons capers
- 2 cups arugula leaves

In a large bowl, stir to combine the yeast, sugar, and ¾ cup warm water.

Cover and set aside for 5-10 minutes until foamy.

Add the flour, salt, and 2 tablespoons of oil; stir to form a rough dough.

Cover and set aside for 30 minutes.

Using wet hands, stretch the dough up and fold it over itself 3-4 times. Cover and set aside for 15 minutes.

Repeat Step 5 two more times, then wrap and refrigerate the dough for at least 2 hours or overnight.

Preheat oven to 550 F or as high as it will go.

Using floured hands, stretch the dough to form an 11-inch round, leaving a thicker crust around the edges.

Once the oven is preheated, bake for 6 to 8 minutes or until browned. Set aside to cool.

While the crust cools, to prepare the cheese topping, in a medium bowl, stir to combine the cream cheese, herbs, lemon zest, salt, and pepper.
