These boiled small potatoes are the perfect simple side dish! With no peeling or chopping needed, they cook up tender and fluffy in just 20 minutes. Add butter and seasonings for extra flavor, or enjoy them plain – they're delicious either way!
📝 Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs potatoes (small)
- Water ((enough to cover the potatoes in the pot))
- Salt (to taste)
- Butter (for serving, optional)
👨🍳 Instructions
- 1Wash the small potatoes in a colander under cold running water. No need to peel them – their skin is thin and edible.
- 2Bring a pot of water to a boil and add salt to taste.
- 3Carefully place the small potatoes into the boiling water.
- 4Boil the potatoes for about 20 minutes, or until tender. Check by piercing the thickest potato with a fork – it should pierce easily.
- 5Once done, turn off the heat and remove the potatoes. You can strain them using a colander or use a slotted spoon to take them out of the water.
- 6Serve the potatoes as is, or add some butter while they’re hot to melt over the potatoes. You can also add extra seasonings to taste.
