Whole Wheat Pound Cake Recipe

A simple four ingredient cake which turns out quite buttery. Using no refined ingredients, this is also a great snack for kids.

📝 Ingredients

  • Wheat Flour / Atta - 100 gm
  • Unsalted Butter - 100 gm
  • Unrefined Brown Sugar - 100 gm
  • Eggs - 100 gm / 2 nos

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. 1Preheat oven to 150°C.
  2. 2Powder sugar until fine.
  3. 3In a bowl, take butter and whip t for a minute until pale.
  4. 4Add the powdered sugar and whip them together for five minutes until fluffy.
  5. 5Now add eggs one at a time beating for a minute before adding the next.
  6. 6Once the eggs are incorporated, remove the beater.
  7. 7Sift the wheat flour twice or fluff it up with a whisk to incorporate air.
  8. 8Add it in two batches and gently cut and fold the ingredients together with a spatula.
  9. 9Grease, line a 6 1/2" * 2" loaf tin and pour the batter into it.
  10. 10Bake in preheated oven for 40 minutes or until a tooth pick inserted comes out clean.
  11. 11Tent the cake with a piece of foil if it browns too fast.
  12. 12Allow the cake to cool for five minutes.
  13. 13Flip it onto a wire rack and cool completely before slicing.
