Sweet pan fried plantains are crispy on the outside and soft and gooey on the inside. Perfect to pair with your favorite meal or to eat as a snack.

  • 2 ripe plantains
  • Oil for frying

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. 1Cut diagonal slices, about 1" thick
  2. 2Heat pan on medium-high heat
  3. 3Add oil to the pan (about 1 inch in depth).
  4. 4Add the slices of plantains to the pan, making sure not to overcrowd.
  5. 5Fry until golden (about 2 minutes).
  6. 6Turn slices over slices over and fry for another 2 minutes.
  7. 7Remove plantains from the oil and place them on a plate with paper towels to drain any excess oil.
  8. 8Serve
