This Leftover Puff Pastry Turkey Pie is creamy, delicious, and filled with flavor! It includes vegetables, onions, and a creamy sauce. Serve for dinner.
📝 Ingredients
- 1/4 cup of unsalted butter
- 1/2 diced onions
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- 1 tsp of thyme
- 1/4 cup of flour
- 3/4 cup of milk
- 1/2 cup of chicken stock
- 1 1/2 half cup of mixed vegetables
- 3 cups of leftover turkey
- 1 puff pastry sheets
- 1 egg wash (1 tbsp of water and 1 egg whisked together to brush pie)
👨🍳 Instructions
- 1Preheat oven at 200C/400F/ Gas 6. Heat unsalted butter in a pan, add diced onions, season with salt to taste, pepper to taste, thyme and stir. Then, add flour and stir for one minute.
- 2Pour milk and chicken stock into the pan and stir. Bring the mixture to a boil and then, cook on low heat for 2-3 minutes.
- 3Remove the mixture from the heat and add mixed vegetables and leftover turkey and stir.
- 4Grab the puff pastry sheet and cut it into equal-sized squares.
- 5Pour the mixture into a dish and cover it with the pastry squares. Brush the pie with egg wash and bake for 30 -40 minutes or until the pie is golden.
