📝 Ingredients
- One 10" X 15" sheet of frozen puff pastry, about 9 ounces (*See note)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 6 oz Italian sausage, casing removed
- 1 medium yellow onion, peeled, cut in half, each half cut into 1/4-inch slices
- 3/4 cup (8 oz) ricotta cheese
- Zest from 1 large lemon
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup (about 1/4 lb) Gruyère cheese, grated
- 6 oz roasted red peppers, from a jar or can
- 1 lb fresh asparagus
- 2-3 tablespoons fresh chives, chopped
