With tender ravioli in a 3-cheese cream sauce topped with bacon and breadcrumbs, this comforting copycat Olive Garden ravioli carbonara takes only half an hour.

📝 Ingredients

  • 8 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1/3 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons salted butter
  • 1/4 cup minced yellow onion
  • 3 garlic cloves, peeled and minced
  • 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/3 cup grated Asiago cheese
  • 1 (25-ounce) package frozen cheese ravioli, cooked according to instructions on the package
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. 1Place the bacon in a large oven-safe skillet.
  2. 2Cook the bacon over medium heat until brown and crisp, about 4 minutes.
  3. 3Using a slotted spoon, remove the bacon from the skillet, and set it aside to drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
  4. 4Remove about 3 tablespoons of the bacon drippings from the skillet and place them in a medium-sized bowl.
  5. 5Add the panko breadcrumbs to the bowl and stir to combine with the bacon drippings.
  6. 6Place the breadcrumbs on a plate and spread them out in an even layer. Set them aside to cool.
  7. 7Return the skillet to medium heat and add the butter.
  8. 8Once the butter has melted, add the onion and garlic, stir to combine, and saute for 2 minutes.
  9. 9Add the flour to the skillet, stir to combine the roux, and cook for 1 minute, whisking frequently.
  10. 10Add the broth, cream, and milk to the skillet and whisk to combine. Cook for 5 minutes, whisking frequently, until the sauce has thickened slightly.
  11. 11Place the mozzarella, Parmesan, and Asiago cheese in a medium bowl and toss to combine them.
  12. 12Remove ⅓ of the cheese from the bowl and set aside (we'll be using this for the topping).
  13. 13Preheat the oven to broil on low.
  14. 14Remove the skillet from the heat and add the cheese (larger portion) to the cream mixture, whisk until melted.
  15. 15Add the cooked ravioli to the skillet and gently stir to coat.
  16. 16Sprinkle the skillet with the remaining cheese.
  17. 17Sprinkle the skillet with the breadcrumbs.
  18. 18Place in the oven and broil for 3 to 5 minutes or until melty, bubbly, and lightly browned.
  19. 19Remove the skillet from the oven and top with bacon and parsley before serving.
