This instant pot broccoli is quick, easy, and a hassle-free method of steaming your broccoli. Serve it with some chicken for a nutritious low carb lunch or dinner!

📝 Ingredients

  • 1 lb broccoli
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • olive oil spray (optional)

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. 1--- Make it in the instant pot ---
  2. 2Rinse the broccoli under running water, then pat dry with paper towels.
  3. 3Chop the broccoli into medium-sized florets.
  4. 4Arrange the broccoli in the instant pot basket. You can stack them if you need to.
  5. 5Spray with olive oil and sprinkle garlic powder and salt all over them.
  6. 6Shake the basket to make sure the spices are mixed in.
  7. 7Pour some water into the instant pot and place the basket in the instant pot.
  8. 8Turn the instant pot to manual high pressure and set the timer to zero.
  9. 9It will take about 10 minutes to come to full pressure.
  10. 10When the instant pot beeps, quick release it by turning the knob at the top.
  11. 11Your instant pot steamed broccoli is ready!
  12. 12--- Make it in the Microwave ---
  13. 13Put the broccoli florets and spices in a microwave-safe bowl, then add two to three tablespoons of water in.
  14. 14Cover the bowl with a microwave-safe plate and then microwave it on high for three to four minutes.
  15. 15Carefully remove the hot plate, and then check if it's done to your preference.
  16. 16Microwave in 1-minute bursts if not tender enough.
  17. 17--- Cook it on the Stovetop ---
  18. 18Pour two cups of water into a pot and put a steamer basket in it.
  19. 19Cover the pot, then bring the water to a rolling boil.
  20. 20Put the broccoli florets and spices in the basket, cover the pot, and let them cook for 4-5 minutes till tender.
