📝 Ingredients
- 2 lb chicken drumstick
- 1 teaspoon oil
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 3 tablespoon ground bean sauce
- 2 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 2 tablespoon tomato sauce
- 1 piece red fermented bean curd
- 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
- 0.5 teaspoon five spice powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 2 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon cooking wine
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 oz shallot
- 0.5 oz ginger
👨🍳 Instructions
- 1Prep marinade: To a bowl, add the ground bean sauce, hoisin sauce, tomato sauce, red fermented bean curd, black pepper, five spice powder, garlic salt, sugar and cooking wine. Crush the piece of red fermented bean curd using the back of a spoon, then mix everything together until thoroughly combined. Taste and adjust, if needed. My dad adds more sugar.
- 2Prep & marinate chicken: Dry the drumsticks with paper towels and place them in a large bowl.
- 3Bake chicken: Preheat oven to 385°F and set a rack into the middle position.
