Dim Sum Style Steamed Pork Ribs is a very popular dish at the dim sum restaurants. These normally comes in very small dim sum plates and you may find that you just may not have enough of them. The good news is you can easily replicate this dish in your home kitchen.

📝 Ingredients

  • 300 gm pork ribs (cut into bite size)
  • 1 clove garlic (minced finely)
  • 1 tbsp fermented bean paste (minced)
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1 tsp cornstarch (optional)
  • 1 tbsp spring onion (chopped)

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. 1First cut pork ribs into bite size, minced some garlic. have ready some minced fermented bean paste and sugar.
  2. 2Boil water in wok or pan and blanch the pork ribs for a few minutes, just until there is no visible blood. Then set aside.
  3. 3Place the chopped minced garlic, fermented bean paste and sugar in a bowl.
  4. 4Mix the ingredients together.
  5. 5Add the mixed ingredients to the blanched, cooled pork ribs in a large bowl.
  6. 6Add water (using the same bowl from the mixed marinade) and cornstarch (optional) to the pork ribs.
  7. 7Mix and massage until the pork ribs are well coated with the marinade.
  8. 8Place the pork ribs on a heatproof plate. Cover and leave to marinade refrigerated for at least 30 minutes.
  9. 9Next, bring some water to a simmer in a wok with a steaming rack set in the bottom and place the plate of pork ribs into the steamer.
  10. 10Cover and steam for about 10 minutes, or until the ribs are cooked through.
  11. 11Check for doneness by piercing a piece of pork with a chopstick. And we're done!
  12. 12Garnish with chopped spring onions and serve hot with steamed rice.
