My juicy chicken burgers are meaty, moist, and packed with flavor. It's a healthy alternative to a beef burger but a very tasty addition to your dinner rotation!

📝 Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 ounces Monterey jack or Pepper Jack Cheese shredded (1/2 cup)
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons grated red onion
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • vegetable oil
  • 4 thick cheese slices
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • lettuce, tomato, cheese, bacon, avocado, thin sliced onion, BBQ sauce, mayonaisse, ketchup, or mustard

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. 1--- Form Patties ---
  2. 2Combine ground chicken (1 pound), panko breadcrumbs (1 cup), cheese (2 ounces), mayonnaise (¼ cup), red onion (2 tablespoons), Worcestershire (1 tablespoon), garlic powder (1 teaspoon), salt (1/2 teaspoon), and black pepper (1/4 teaspoon) in a large bowl using your hands.
  3. 3Press into four 3/4" thick patties (should be about 4" in diameter). Press your thumb in the center of each patty, creating a divet.
  4. 4--- Chill Patties ---
  5. 5Arrange the patties on a large plate or small baking sheet. Cover with cling wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour and up to 1 day. Season the patties with salt and pepper.
  6. 6--- Cook Patties ---
  7. 7In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons vegetable oil on medium heat, until it shimmers. Add burgers and cook, undisturbed, until a crust begins to form on the bottom of the patty, about 5-6 minutes.
  8. 8Turn the patties and repeat on the other side. If using cheese, top with cheese. Continue to cook patties until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F, about 5-6 minutes.
  9. 9--- Assemble Burgers ---
  10. 10Arrange toppings on a platter for the table.
  11. 11When patties are cooked, add to a split bun and arrange on individual plates or a serving platter. Serve and enjoy!
