📝 Ingredients

  • 3 bone-in chicken thighs
  • salt, to taste
  • white pepper, to taste
  • 3 slices ginger
  • 2 spring onions (white and green parts separated)
  • 5 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 2 tbsp neutral oil
  • 1 tsp sesame oil (optional)
  • light soy sauce, to taste
  • a splash of reserved steaming liquid

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. 1Season chicken with salt and white pepper.
  2. 2Place ginger and white spring onion parts on a heatproof plate, then set chicken on top.
  3. 3Steam over medium heat for 25–35 minutes until tender and cooked through.
