📝 Ingredients
- 1/2 (approx 8 cups) medium seedless watermelon (cut into cubes, chilled and peeled)
- 1 cup sugar (or another sweetener of your choice)
- 8 cups water (divided)
- 1 key lime (the juice)
- Ice
- 2 2-liter (approx 2 qt) pitchers (or 1-4 liter (approx 4 qt) container)
- 1 blender or food processor
- 1 small pot
👨🍳 Instructions
- 1Pour one cup of water in a pot over medium heat. Add the sugar and mix until well dissolved, set aside and let cool down.
- 2Place the watermelon cubes and three cups of water in a blender and mix very well (depending on the size of your blender, you may need to do this two times).
- 3Add the sugar water and lime juice. Mix well.
- 4Pour the blended watermelon water into a two liter (~2 qt) pitcher, add the sugar water and the other 5 cups of water. Add the lime juice and mix well. Cool down in the fridge and serve super cold or on ice.
- 5Divide the blended watermelon and sugar water into 2 two-liters (~2 qt each) pitchers, add the other 4 cups of water (2 per pitcher). If you have a big container (4 quarts) even better. Cool down in the fridge and serve super cold or on ice.
