Garlic butter steak bites

These garlic butter steak bites can be sizzling on your plate in only 15 minutes, with each bite smothered in tasty garlic butter. And here's my secret for even more flavour - a splash of marsala wine takes these tender steak bites to a whole new level.

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces / 350 grams sirloin steak (or rump / ribeye / tenderloin)
  • 1 ounce / 30 grams butter (for frying steak)
  • 1 tablespoons sunflower oil
  • 2 teaspoons crushed garlic (about 3 cloves)
  • 1 ounces / 30 grams butter (for sauce)
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Marsala wine
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 tablespoons chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. 1

Pat the steak with a paper towel to remove any moisture and cut it into bite-sized pieces

  2. 2

Heat the oil and butter in a frying pan until hot, then add the steak and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Sear the steak on all sides.

  3. 3

Continue to stir-fry the steak for 2 to 3 minutes until it reaches your desired level of doneness (rare, medium or well-done). Transfer the meat to a plate, leaving any butter in the pan.

  4. 4

Adjust the heat to medium and add the minced garlic to the pan. Stir fry for one minute until the garlic starts to soften. Don't let it burn or it will turn bitter.

  5. 5

Add the Worcestershire sauce, Marsala and the remaining butter and stir until the butter melts. Allow the sauce to boil for one to two minutes.

  6. 6

Return the steak to the pan and stir so that it is well coated in the sauce. Allow it to cook for a further minute or two until the steak is well-heated.

  7. 7

Stir in the chopped parsley, then serve immediately with your choice of side dishes. Drizzle a spoonful of the buttery Marsala sauce over the steak bites.
