This easy pineapple gelatin dessert is light, creamy, and refreshing. Made with gelatin, milk, and eggs, it’s perfect for any occasion.
📝 Ingredients
- 150 grams (2/3 cup) granulated sugar
- 4 medium eggs
- 500 ml (about 2 cups) milk
- 1 package pineapple gelatin (about 80 grams (2 3/4 ounces))
- 2 unflavored gelatin sheets
👨🍳 Instructions
- 1Separate the egg yolks from the whites. Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.
- 2Place the gelatin sheets in a bowl of cold water and let them soak for about 5 minutes. Drain well and microwave the gelatin for about 30 seconds. Remove from the microwave, stir with a spoon until completely dissolved, and set aside.
- 3Using an electric mixer, beat the egg yolks and sugar on medium speed until creamy. Add the milk and mix for another 2 to 3 minutes until well combined.
- 4Pour the mixture into a saucepan and bring to a medium heat. Whisk continuously until it begins to boil. Once boiling, add the pineapple gelatin powder and the dissolved gelatin sheets, stirring constantly for 2 to 3 minutes until completely dissolved.
- 5Remove from the heat and gently fold in the whipped egg whites with a spatula until well combined.
- 6Divide the dessert into individual serving bowls and refrigerate for 5 to 6 hours, or preferably overnight, until fully set and chilled.
