Lemon Ginger Tea

Refreshing and revitalising, this lemon ginger tea is made with just 3 natural ingredients for a healthy and warming drink that's perfect to enjoy during the cold weather.

Ingredients

  • 2 inches fresh ginger (2 tsp, peeled and sliced into thin 1/4” thick pieces)
  • 2.5 cups of water
  • Juice from 1 lemon (divided)
  • Honey (to taste)

Instructions

    Place the sliced ginger in a small sauce pan, and cover with 2.5 cups of water. Bring water to boil, reduce heat to low and simmer for about 5 minutes. Let the tea steep for at least 5 minutes (or up to 10 minutes).

    Pour the liquid into 2 cups through a fine mesh strainer to catch the large ginger pieces, then serve warm with a squeeze of a half fresh lemon per each cup and honey, to taste.
