📝 Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 tablespoon butter (unsalted)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound cremini mushrooms (sliced)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (divided in half)
  • 1 sweet onion (sliced)
  • 1 lemon (zested and juiced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup vegetable broth (low sodium)
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

  1. 1In a large skillet, heat up the butter and oil over medium heat. Once the butter has melted, add the mushrooms along with ¼ teaspoon of salt.
  2. 2Cook the mushrooms, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes. Add the sliced onions and ¼ teaspoon of salt. Cook for 8 minutes.
  3. 3Add the lemon zest, lemon juice, garlic, vegetable broth, and Worcestershire sauce to the skillet. Continue to cook for another 2 to 4 minutes or until most of the liquid has evaporated. Serve immediately or serve with some green onion as garnish.
