Maroulosalata (salada grega de alface)

A maroulosalata é uma vibrante salada grega que combina alface romana crocante, endro fresco e queijo feta de sabor marcante. Tempere com um molho cítrico de limão, azeite e alho. Perfeita como acompanhamento ou refeição leve com frango grelhado ou frutos do mar, fica pronta em poucos minutos.

Ingredientes

  • 2 Romaine Lettuce Hearts (thinly sliced)
  • 4 Spring Onions
  • 1/2 cup fresh chopped Dill
  • 1/4 cup fresh chopped Parsley
  • 4 oz (100g) Greek Feta Cheese
  • 1/4 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon Juice (fresh squeezed is best)
  • 1 Garlic Clove (minced)
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Modo de preparo

    Prepare Lettuce - wash and dry Romaine Lettuce. Best to spin in a Salad Spinner to ensure it's dry. Stack leaves and thinly slice into ribbons - about ¼" thick.

    Chop Greens - Thinly slice Green Onions, Dill and Parsley.

    Make Dressing - in a small jar with lid, pour Olive Oil, Lemon Juice, Garlic, Salt and Pepper. Vigorously shake the jar to mix togther.

    Assemble Salad - in a large bowl, combine sliced Romaine Lettuce, Green Onions, Dill and Parsley. Pour dressing over the salad and gently toss.

    Add Feta - sprinkle crumbled Greek Feta over the salad. (can toss through or leave on top)

    Serve - adjust seasoning or Lemon Juice if needed. Serve Immediately as a side dish or alongside Chicken Souvlaki or Grilled Shrimp.
