12 questions

What is Calori?

Calori is an app for eating well, built around a food diary that you can fill by photo, voice, text, barcode, label or search. It also brings together goals, recipes, meal planning, a shopping list, health data and trackers. Calori AI uses your own history to explain your numbers and help you decide what to eat.

Is Calori free to use?

Yes, Calori has a free plan with manual logging, barcode and label scanning, food search, the full diary history, recipes, meal planning, the shopping list, trackers and the web app. AI features have an allowance shown in the app, while Premium provides much more generous AI use. There are no adverts on any plan.

Which devices and platforms does Calori support?

Calori works on iPhone, Android and the web, with an Apple Watch companion for checking the day and quick logging. On iPhone, home-screen widgets and Live Activities put useful information close at hand. There is no Wear OS app, although Android watch data can reach Calori through Health Connect.

How do I create a Calori account?

Open Calori and sign in with Apple, Google or your email address to create your account. Use the same sign-in method whenever you return, especially if you chose Apple and hid your email address. Your account then keeps your data synced across supported devices.

Is there a Calori web app?

Yes, sign in at www.calori.com with the same account you use on your phone. Your data stays in sync between the web and your other devices. The web app covers less than the phone app, so use the mobile app when you need the broadest feature set.

Can I use Calori on several devices at once?

Yes, you can use Calori on several devices by signing in with the same account on each one. Entries and changes sync automatically when the devices are online. If you make changes offline, they sync when the connection returns.

Which languages is Calori available in?

Calori is available in over 30 languages and follows your phone language by default. You can choose a different available language manually in Settings. If yours is not listed, tell support and we will take it into account.

Who is Calori for?

Calori is for people who want to eat well while losing, maintaining or gaining weight or muscle. It also suits households that want to share plans, recipes and a shopping list, while keeping personal diaries private. People who already work with a nutritionist or coach can connect and choose what to share.

What should I do in my first week with Calori?

Start by setting your goal and checking that your profile details are correct. Log a meal by photo, connect Apple Health or Health Connect, and save a meal you eat often to My Foods. These steps give the diary useful context while helping you learn the quickest logging methods.

Can I import my history from another calorie app?

Yes, export your data from MyFitnessPal, Lose It!, Cronometer, Lifesum, Yazio or FatSecret, then upload it through Settings → Import data. Calori recognises these popular export formats and converts the information it can read. Export structures vary, so not every field is guaranteed to transfer.

How does Calori compare with other calorie apps?

Calori combines a food diary with photo, voice, text, barcode and label logging, plus recipes, planning, trackers and a personalised coach. The comparison pages on the Calori website show feature-by-feature differences with other calorie apps. Check the page for the app you use to compare the capabilities that matter to you.

Does Calori work offline?

Yes, you can keep logging while offline and your changes will sync when you reconnect. AI features such as photo analysis, chat and voice need an internet connection. Methods that depend on those features will be available again once you are online.

Logging food

Log meals your way, correct any detail and keep every device in sync.

16 questions

How do I log food in Calori?

Open the main add button and choose a photo, voice, text, barcode, nutrition label, food search or My Foods. Each method creates entries in your diary, and you can edit every result afterwards. Use the method that best matches what you are eating and the information you have.

How does photo food logging work?

Photograph the whole plate and Calori analyses the full frame, splitting several foods into separate entries. Each item receives calories, protein, carbs and fat, plus 14 vitamins and 15 minerals. Review the result before saving, then adjust a portion, swap an ingredient or remove an item whenever needed.

Can I log food by voice in Calori?

Yes, hold the voice button and describe the meal in your own words. Calori turns what you say into food entries with calories and macros, which you can check and edit. Voice also works for adding items to the shopping list and requires an internet connection.

Can I type what I ate instead of searching?

Yes, describe the meal in a sentence and Calori turns it into editable food entries. Include the foods and portions you know to give the analysis more useful detail. This method needs an internet connection, just like voice and photo analysis.

How does the Calori barcode scanner work?

Point the scanner at a product barcode and it is decoded on your phone for free. Calori looks for the product in its own catalogue, Open Food Facts and the USDA database, then shows its nutrition details and Calori Score. Choose a portion to log it or save the product to My Foods.

What should I do if a barcode is not found?

Photograph the product nutrition label to add the missing item. Calori reads the values and keeps the serving size printed on the label, so you can review them before saving. Once added, the product becomes available to everyone for future scans.

Can Calori scan a nutrition label?

Yes, photograph the nutrition panel and Calori reads its values into an editable food entry. It handles EU and US panels and keeps the serving size stated on the label. This is the quickest way to add a packaged product that is missing from the catalogue.

What is My Foods in Calori?

My Foods is your own library of regular foods, dishes and recipes with the exact values you choose. Save an item once and log it in one tap whenever you eat it again. You can also use saved items when building meal plans.

How do I edit or delete a food entry?

Tap the entry to edit its foods, ingredients, portions or values. Delete it from the entry menu, or swipe where your platform offers that action. The change is immediate and syncs to every device signed into the same Calori account.

Can I log food for a past day?

Yes, open the relevant date in the diary and add the food there. Photo, voice, text, barcode, label, search and My Foods all work for past days. Check the selected date before saving so the entry lands where you expect.

Can I copy yesterday or repeat meals in Calori?

Yes, copy a past day such as yesterday into today from the diary, or re-log a recent entry with one tap. For meals you eat regularly, save exact values in My Foods for quick reuse. Copying into a future day and automatic recurring meals are not available.

How do I log a meal I did not finish?

Photograph the finished plate and Calori subtracts the leftovers from the entry. You can also open the entry and reduce the portion manually if that is easier. Keep the corrected values so your diary reflects what you actually ate.

Which day gets food logged after midnight?

Food counts towards the calendar day when it is logged, so a snack at 1 am belongs to that morning rather than the previous day. This rule stays the same for night shifts. To place an entry on another day, edit its date.

How do I track water in Calori?

Use the dedicated water tracker on the home or diary screen to add a glass or a custom amount. You can adjust your daily water goal in Settings. Coffee and tea can count towards it according to the choices you make.

How do I log exercise in Calori?

Describe the exercise in the app and Calori estimates the active energy, or sync workouts from Apple Health or Health Connect. If the same workout is present in both places, Calori only adds what the health platform did not already measure. This prevents the workout from being counted twice.

How do I log a restaurant meal?

Photograph the meal or describe it in words, then adjust any portions or ingredients after the analysis. Before ordering, Menu Rank can photograph the menu and rank its dishes against your goals. Calori has no chain-menu database, so exact published values from a chain can be saved to My Foods for repeat orders.

Accuracy

Understand estimates, choose the best logging method and correct the details that matter.

12 questions

How accurate is Calori photo logging?

Photo logging is a useful day-to-day approximation, not an exact weighing of the food. No app can determine a precise portion from an image alone, especially when ingredients are hidden or dishes overlap. Review the items and portions after each analysis so the diary matches what you ate.

How can I improve Calori food estimates?

Use Accuracy Mode with two photos from different angles, or show the nutrition label together with the portion. Add a few words describing the dish, then adjust any portions or ingredients after the analysis. For foods you eat often, save exact values in My Foods and reuse them.

What should I do if Calori gets my food wrong?

Open the entry and correct each food, ingredient, portion or amount that is wrong. You can swap an ingredient, remove an item or replace the values before keeping the entry. Your corrections also help improve future estimates.

Why does the same photo give a different result?

A small difference is normal because Calori interprets the image afresh each time. Mixed or partly hidden dishes can support more than one reasonable reading, particularly for portions. Keep the version you correct and trust rather than repeatedly analysing the same image.

How do I account for oils, dressings and sauces?

Mention oils, dressings and sauces in your description when they are not clearly visible. After the analysis, open the entry and add or adjust them as separate ingredients with the best portion you know. Checking these details keeps the diary closer to what was actually served.

Why do Calori carbs differ from a US label?

Calori uses EU-style carbohydrate values, which exclude fibre, while US labels include fibre in total carbs. A difference against a US panel is therefore expected even when the underlying food is the same. You can switch the nutrition-label display between US and EU formats in the nutrition details.

Can I track net carbs in Calori?

Yes, go to Settings → Language, Units & Region → Carbohydrates and select net carbs. This changes both the carb displays and your carb goal. Calori already excludes fibre under the EU convention, while the net-carb setting also subtracts sugar alcohols.

Are Calori vitamin and mineral values exact?

No, the 14 vitamins and 15 minerals attached to each logged item are estimates based on what you record. Their usefulness depends on the food, ingredients and portion being identified correctly. Treat them as diary estimates and trends, not as a lab result.

What should I do if a database food looks wrong?

Edit the values on the diary entry or create your own version in My Foods with the correct information. Food databases can contain occasional errors, so your saved version is the reliable choice for something you use often. Send the product details to support@calori.com so the catalogue entry can be checked.

What can I do when foods from my country are missing?

Use the nutrition-label scanner for a packaged product, photograph the food, or create an exact version in My Foods. Product coverage varies by country even though the catalogue is global. Label scans you add become available to everyone for future searches.

Which Calori logging method should I use for the best accuracy?

Use a barcode or nutrition-label scan for packaged food, and My Foods with exact values for things you eat regularly. For a plated meal, Accuracy Mode with two angles and a short description gives Calori the most useful evidence. Whichever method you choose, review the portion and ingredients before keeping the entry.

How do I change units in Calori?

Go to Settings → Language, Units & Region to choose kilograms, pounds or stones for weight and metric or imperial units elsewhere. Calori converts existing values immediately, so you do not need to enter them again. The setting changes how information is displayed and entered.

Calori AI, Calori Live and Calori Agent

Understand the coaches, cooking help and background insights built around your own data.

12 questions

Does Calori AI remember previous conversations?

Yes, Calori AI remembers preferences, goals and useful facts across conversations. You can ask it to remember or forget something, while a complete memory wipe must be requested through support@calori.com.

Can Calori AI see my food diary?

Yes, Calori AI can use your logged history to give answers that fit you. That history belongs to your account and is private to you unless you explicitly choose to share data.

Which AI model does Calori use?

Calori uses a combination of leading AI systems and its own nutrition technology. The combination is updated continuously, so Calori does not tie these features to one named system.

How do I rate or report a Calori AI answer?

Use the thumbs-up or thumbs-down button on any Calori AI reply. Ratings help improve future answers, while a seriously wrong or concerning reply can be reported to support@calori.com with the conversation context.

What is Calori Live?

Calori Live is a real-time voice conversation with Calori on your phone or Apple Watch. It can log as you speak, read recipe steps and run timers. Every plan has a talk-time allowance shown in the app, with a generous allowance on Premium+.

What is Calori Agent and the Updates feed?

Calori Agent works in the background and reports personalised updates in the in-app Updates feed. Free accounts receive a weekly digest, while Premium adds a daily organising run for the pantry, shopping list and Calori AI memory. Optional notifications remain under your control.

What is Calori Chef?

Calori Chef is the cooking companion for live guidance, recipe questions and meal ideas from a photo of your pantry or fridge. It can convert units, scale servings, suggest substitutions and run cooking timers.

What are the AI insights in Progress?

They are overnight insights about your weight forecast, real daily burn, nutrient gaps and meals that quietly add up. Progress also brings these findings together in a weekly report and action plan, with PDF report export on Premium.

Can I connect another AI assistant to Calori?

No, Calori does not connect to external AI assistants. Calori AI is built into the app and can use your own logged data, and there is no public API for connecting another assistant.

Can Calori AI advise me about a health condition?

No, Calori AI does not replace advice from your doctor. It can take your own description into account for general food guidance, but your doctor should decide what is right for your health.

What can I do after reaching my Calori AI allowance?

You can keep using manual logging, barcode scanning, food search and your diary while the AI allowance is unavailable. The app shows your allowance, and Premium provides a much more generous amount with a fair-use ceiling.

Goals and targets

See how Calori sets targets, protects sensible limits and helps you read long-term progress.

13 questions

How are my calorie and macro targets calculated?

Calori uses your age, sex, height, weight and activity together with your chosen goal and pace. The targets follow standard energy-balance science, adjust when your data changes and can be fine-tuned in goal settings.

How do I change my goal?

Open Settings, then Goals, to change the goal type, target weight or pace. Calori recalculates your calorie and macro targets immediately from the new choices, so the updated plan takes effect straight away.

Why will the app not let me set a lower target?

Calori stops targets below its safety limits by design. These include calorie floors, a healthy-weight floor and a gentler pace for younger people, and they cannot be adjusted or bypassed.

Why is my weight-loss pace limited if I am under 18?

Calori applies gentler safety limits to weight goals for people under 18, and these limits cannot be turned off. Involve a parent or guardian and your doctor when setting a weight goal at this age.

Can I use the app to build muscle?

Yes, Calori includes goals for gaining weight or muscle as well as losing or maintaining weight. It uses protein-forward macro splits, which you can tune, and you can follow body fat and measurements alongside scale weight.

What is the Calori Score?

Calori Score summarises the nutritional quality of what you log, giving you a quick view beyond calories. The formula is not disclosed, so the score is best used as a simple guide alongside the full nutrition details.

When will I reach my goal weight?

Progress shows an estimated goal forecast based on your actual weight trend. It moves as your adherence and trend change, so it is a guide rather than a promised result or fixed date.

Why has my weight stopped changing?

A short plateau can be normal because water, salt, your cycle and digestion can move the daily number. Read the trend over two to four weeks, check that oils, drinks and weekends are logged, and weigh under the same conditions each time. The trend chart in Progress is more useful than one weigh-in.

Does exercise add calories to my daily budget?

Yes, active energy from your health platform and any logged workouts extends the calories remaining for that day. Resting energy does not, and Calori avoids counting the same workout twice. Your target already includes your declared activity level, so do not deliberately eat back every workout.

Can I set different macros for cheat days or training days?

No, Calori does not have dedicated cheat-day or training-day macro presets. Log the day normally and use weekly averages and trends in Progress to understand it within the whole week.

Can I use Calori during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

You can use Calori to track what you eat, but its calorie and macro targets are not tailored for pregnancy or breastfeeding. Ask your doctor or midwife to set the right intake for you, and follow their advice rather than using Calori to lower it.

Can the app adapt if I have a health condition?

You can describe your situation in your own words, and Calori AI can take it into account for general food suggestions. Calori does not replace your doctor, who should decide what is right for you.

How do I change my macro split?

Open the goal settings and fine-tune the macro split manually. This lets you adjust protein, carbs and fat while keeping the rest of your goal information in place.

Recipes, meal plans and shopping

Save recipes, plan meals, build one shopping list and choose dishes that fit your goals.

12 questions

How do I import a recipe into Calori?

Paste a link from a website, TikTok, Instagram or YouTube, or photograph the recipe. Calori extracts the ingredients, steps and nutrition, while video imports use an allowance shown in the app.

Why is my recipe import failing?

Recipe imports may fail when a post is private or uses an unusual format. Some platforms also block Calori from retrieving recipe information. Take a screenshot or photograph the recipe and import that picture instead.

Can I create my own recipes and foods?

Yes, My Foods stores your usual foods, dishes and recipes with the exact values you choose. You can log them with one tap, reuse them whenever you need them and add them to meal plans.

How does meal planning work?

Build a plan by hand from saved foods and recipes, or ask Calori to generate one for your goals and preferences. Plans appear in a calendar and convert into a shopping list. AI generation uses the allowance shown in the app.

Does Calori have a shopping list?

Yes, you can fill the shopping list by hand, by voice or directly from recipes and meal plans. It can also be shared with your family so everyone sees changes and works from the same list.

What is Menu Rank?

Menu Rank lets you photograph a restaurant menu and ranks its dishes against your goals before you order. You can organise scans into collections for later, but it is not a restaurant directory.

Can I search chain restaurant menus?

No, Calori does not have a searchable database of chain menus. Photograph the menu with Menu Rank, or photograph or describe the meal itself. For exact published values, use the chain website and save them to My Foods for future orders.

How are meal ideas suggested?

Calori suggests dishes you often eat around the current time and new ideas that fit the rest of your day. Photograph a fridge shelf or describe what is in the cupboard to fill the pantry, then log any suggestion with one tap.

Can Calori help with conversions, timers and substitutions?

Yes, Calori Chef can convert units, scale servings, suggest ingredient substitutions and answer cooking questions as you work. Cooking timers are built into the same cooking flow, so you can manage them while following the recipe.

Are recipe photos real?

Yes, a recipe shows a real photo when one is available, or no photo at all. Calori never invents food photos, so what you see on a recipe is the dish as someone actually cooked and photographed it.

How is a recipe's nutrition calculated?

Calori calculates the recipe nutrition and shows the result per serving. You can adjust the number of servings on the recipe, and the nutrition for each serving updates with the new serving count.

Can I share recipes and meal plans with my family?

Yes, family members can share recipes, meal plans and the shopping list through the free Family feature. Each person keeps their own Calori account, while personal diaries remain private and are not shared with the household.

Trackers, health data and devices

Track your body and routines, connect your phone’s health platform and keep your devices in step.

17 questions

What can I track in Calori?

You can track weight, water, fasting, blood pressure, steps, sleep, body fat, body measurements and your cycle. Calori also puts 25 more trackers behind one + button, so you can keep the ones you use close at hand.

How do I log my weight and see the trend?

Log your weight from the home-screen tracker or from Progress, where the trend chart also lives. Weight can arrive automatically from Apple Health or Health Connect, including from smart scales that write to either platform.

Can I track body fat and body measurements?

Yes, Calori has dedicated trackers for body fat and measurements such as waist, hips and chest. Their trends appear in Progress, and you can set a body-fat goal alongside your weight goal.

Can I track intermittent fasting?

Yes, start a fasting session and choose a protocol in the fasting tracker. Calori records both the fasting and eating windows so you can review your history. The tracker does not make promises about fasting outcomes.

How are steps and sleep tracked?

Calori reads steps and sleep from Apple Health or Health Connect and shows them alongside your diary. Connect the health platform on your phone, then choose what Calori is allowed to sync.

Does Calori sync with Apple Health, Health Connect or Google Fit?

Calori syncs both ways with Apple Health and Health Connect. It reads steps, workouts, weight and other supported data, and writes nutrition back. Google is retiring Google Fit, so Android users should connect through Health Connect.

Does the app connect to Garmin, Oura, Whoop or Fitbit?

No, Calori does not connect directly to wearable brands. Let the wearable’s own app write its data to Apple Health or Health Connect, and Calori will read it there; this also works for Samsung, Polar and smart scales that support those platforms.

Is there a Calori app for Apple Watch?

Yes, Calori has an Apple Watch companion that syncs with your phone. You can check the day and use quick logging from your wrist, while the phone app handles the broader experience.

Is there an app for Wear OS?

No, there is no Calori app for Wear OS. Data from an Android watch can still reach Calori when the watch’s companion app writes it to Health Connect. This allows supported data to sync without a dedicated watch app.

Does Calori have home-screen widgets?

Yes, Calori has iOS home-screen widgets for daily progress and quick logging. It also uses Live Activities on iPhone for information such as an active fasting timer.

Why do my steps or burned calories not match my watch?

Calori shows the data delivered by Apple Health or Health Connect, while each device maker uses its own sensors and formulas. Large gaps often mean several sources are writing the same data, so check the source priority in your phone’s health platform. Hourly aggregation can also cause a short delay.

How do I stop steps or exercise being counted twice?

Keep one source for each data type in Apple Health or Health Connect to prevent duplicate activity. You can change the source priority in that platform or adjust what Calori syncs in Settings.

How do streaks work in Calori?

A streak day normally counts when you log at least 1000 kcal or record 10,000 or more steps. Up to two missed days in a row act as rest days and keep the streak alive, but they do not add to its number. Three consecutive missed days break it.

Will fasting break my streak?

A fasting day without enough logged food or steps counts as a rest day for the streak. Up to two consecutive rest days mean a fast of about 48 hours does not break it. A fast lasting three or more full days does break the streak.

Can I track my cycle and symptoms?

Yes, cycle tracking is available in Calori’s wellness area. You can record the cycle alongside symptoms and keep that history with your other personal trackers.

Can I track blood pressure in Calori?

Yes, Calori has a dedicated tracker for blood pressure readings. It records and charts what you enter without judging the values, so you can review them and discuss them with your health professional.

Can I track caffeine and alcohol?

Yes, logged foods and drinks carry caffeine and alcohol estimates into your daily totals and nutrition details. For exact amounts, scan the product’s barcode or label, or save its known values in My Foods.

Family, friends and coaches

Share the parts you choose with family, friends or your nutritionist or coach, while keeping personal data private.

11 questions

How does Family work in Calori?

Family gives each member their own Calori account while sharing meal plans, the shopping list and recipes. Personal diaries, fasting and insights are never shared with the family. Members keep their own identity and personal data throughout.

Do Family features cost extra?

No, the in-app Family features are free for everyone and do not require Premium. Each member uses a separate Calori account, with shared kitchen features and their own private data.

What can I share with friends?

Friends can see each other’s steps and streaks, send a nudge, gift Premium and take part in private challenges. Connections are invite-only, and sharing is always an explicit choice; friends never see your food diary.

How do private challenges work?

Create a challenge in the Circles tab and share its private link with the people you want to include. Only invited people can join, and participants can follow the challenge progress without making anything public.

Does Calori have a public community or groups?

No, Calori has no public communities, open groups or challenges with strangers. Friends, Family and challenges are invite-only, so you connect with people you choose rather than appearing on a public leaderboard.

Can my nutritionist or coach see my Calori data?

Yes, after you accept their invite, your nutritionist or coach can see only the data you choose to share. You control separate sharing options for your nutrition summary, food diary, weight, check-in notes, body and wellness readings, and symptoms. Disconnecting stops their access immediately.

How do I remove or report someone?

Remove or disconnect a friend, family member, nutritionist or coach from their profile or the relevant settings, and sharing stops immediately. Use the in-app report option for inappropriate content. For harassment or safety concerns, contact support@calori.com.

What does “wants to connect with you” mean?

It means another Calori account has sent you a connection invite. The invite deliberately does not state whether the connection is for friends, Family or a nutritionist or coach; you decide whether to accept, and its role becomes clear inside the app.

Can I gift Premium to someone in Calori?

Yes, Premium can be gifted through an in-app invite. Unlike an ordinary connection invite, the gift invite states what is being given, and the access appears on the recipient’s Calori account after they accept it.

Who can see my data when I connect with someone?

Your data is private unless you explicitly choose to share it. Family members receive selected shared kitchen content, friends see opted-in social information, and a nutritionist or coach sees only the categories you enable. Calori never hands one user’s personal data to another.

Can children use the app and what is the minimum age?

Check Calori’s store listing and terms of service for the current age requirements. The app applies extra safety limits to under-18 accounts, including a gentler pace for weight goals.

Premium and billing

What each plan includes and how purchases, cancellations and refunds work.

17 questions

What is the difference between free Calori and Premium?

The free plan includes manual logging, barcode and label scans, food search, your full diary history, recipes, planning, the shopping list, trackers, sharing features, the web app and data export, and these do not run out. AI features have an allowance shown in the app. Premium makes those allowances very generous with fair-use ceilings, adds the best AI model from the first photo, PDF reports, advanced analytics and a daily Calori Agent run.

What is Premium+?

Premium+ includes everything in Premium plus a generous Calori Live allowance. On iPhone, it can also share Premium with eligible family members through Apple App Store family sharing, which Apple manages. There is no equivalent subscription sharing on Google Play or the web.

Does Calori Premium have a free trial?

No, Calori does not normally offer a free trial. You can use the genuinely useful free plan before deciding whether you want more AI use. If your purchase screen shows an offer, that screen is the source of truth for your account.

How much does Calori Premium cost?

The current price appears inside the app or after you sign in on the website. Calori offers monthly, ninety-day and annual plans, and the purchase screen shows what is available for your country and store. There is no lifetime plan.

Why is the Calori price different in another country or store?

Regional differences are deliberate and reflect local taxes and the cost of operating in each market. Occasional time-limited offers can also change what someone sees. The price on your purchase screen when you buy is the binding one.

How do I cancel my Calori subscription?

Cancel where you bought it: iPhone purchases use iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Calori → Cancel, while Android purchases use Google Play → Profile → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions → Calori → Cancel. For a web purchase, use www.calori.com/app/premium or email support@calori.com and we can cancel it. Uninstalling the Android app does not cancel, and Premium stays active until the end of the period already paid.

How do I request a refund for Calori?

Request a store refund through the store that took the payment: iPhone purchases use reportaproblem.apple.com, and Android purchases use Google Play order history. For a web purchase, email support@calori.com and we can review the refund. Apple or Google makes the final decision for its store purchases.

How do I restore Premium on a new phone?

Sign in to the same Calori account, then use Restore purchases from Settings or the Premium screen. You must also be signed into the store account that originally bought the subscription. If restoration fails, send the receipt to support@calori.com.

Do I keep Premium when switching between iPhone and Android?

Yes, Premium follows your Calori account across devices and platforms. Sign in with the same account and use Restore purchases. Billing continues through the original store; to move billing, cancel there and subscribe through the new store after the existing period ends.

Can I share Calori Premium with my family?

Plain Premium covers one Calori account, while Premium+ on iPhone can share Premium through Apple App Store family sharing. Apple manages eligibility and access, and there is no equivalent on Google Play or the web. Calori family features themselves are free for everyone.

How do I update my payment method for Calori?

Update it with the service that bills you: Apple ID payment settings for App Store purchases, Google Play payment methods for Android purchases, or the web billing page for web subscriptions. Calori never sees or stores your card details, so support cannot edit them. A declined store payment must be resolved with that store.

Does Calori show adverts?

No, Calori does not show adverts on any plan. The free plan remains useful without advertising, and Premium is funded through subscriptions. Calori also does not build advertising profiles from your personal data.

Does Calori offer discounts or promo codes?

Any active offer appears on the purchase screen. Calori has no standing student or senior discount programme, and occasional offers may be available for a limited time. If a promo code does not work, email support@calori.com with the code.

How do I change my Calori subscription plan?

Change a store subscription in the same subscription management screen used for cancellation, or choose the new plan from the in-app Premium screen. The store handles when the change takes effect. For a web purchase, manage it at www.calori.com/app/premium or ask support@calori.com.

Why does Calori use a subscription?

A subscription covers the real ongoing cost of AI analysis and funds the rest of Calori. The free plan remains genuinely useful for everyday logging, barcodes, search, planning, trackers and your own history. Premium pays for much more generous AI use rather than access to your data.

Can I buy Calori Premium on the website?

Yes, sign in on the Calori website to see and buy the web plan available to your account. Manage a web subscription at www.calori.com/app/premium, where you can also cancel it. Web purchases can be refunded or cancelled by support@calori.com if you need help.

Privacy and your data

How Calori protects, processes, exports and deletes your information.

15 questions

Does Calori sell my personal data?

No, Calori never sells your personal data. The business model is Premium subscriptions, not selling data or building advertising profiles from it. Service providers may process data to run the app, but that is not a sale.

Who can see my photos and food logs in Calori?

Only you can see your photos and logs by default. Sharing with family, friends or a nutritionist or coach is always an explicit choice, and you control what is shared. Calori strips location metadata from photos before processing them.

Why can't I log in to Calori?

Use the same sign-in method you chose when you created the account: Apple, Google or email. For an email account, use Forgot password; if you hid your email with Apple, choose Sign in with Apple again. If none works, contact support@calori.com with the email you think is on the account.

How do I reset my Calori password?

Choose Forgot password on the email sign-in screen and follow the reset email. It may take a few minutes to arrive, so check your spam folder as well. Accounts created with Google or Apple do not have a separate Calori password.

How do I change the email address on my Calori account?

Email support@calori.com from the current account address and state the new address you want to use. The change is not available as a self-service setting because support must verify your identity from the current address before updating the account.

Why is my data missing after I signed in?

Try every sign-in method and email address you may have used, because the missing data is usually in a different account. Signing in with Google instead of Apple, or with a second email, can open an empty account. Signing out never deletes your data, which is stored on the server.

Why did Calori log me out unexpectedly?

Can I merge two Calori accounts?

No, two Calori accounts cannot be merged. Keep the account that contains the important data, export anything you need from the other account, then delete the account you no longer want. The sign-in method and email can help you identify which account holds your data.

Why is Calori not syncing between my devices?

Check that both devices use the same account, have an internet connection and run the current app version, then force-close and reopen Calori. Offline changes sync when the device reconnects. If two devices changed the same item while offline, the most recent change wins.

Why am I not receiving Calori notifications?

Check that Calori notifications are allowed in your phone settings and enabled in the app, then review battery optimisation on Android or Focus on iPhone. Calori Agent notifications also have their own preference and may be switched off. If notifications still do not arrive, contact support with your platform and operating-system version.

What should I do if the Calori app crashes or freezes?

Update Calori, restart your phone and make sure the device has free storage. Reinstall only as a last step, after confirming that your account data has synced. If the problem continues, tell support your platform, operating-system version and what you were doing when it happened.

Why is the camera black or not focusing in Calori?

Grant camera access on iPhone under Settings → Calori → Camera, or on Android under App info → Permissions. Then close other camera apps, restart the phone and update Calori. For focus problems, clean the lens, add more light and hold the phone steady before taking the photo.

Why are Calori scans slow or using too much battery?
