Ingredientes

  • 1 pound large shrimp (deveined and peeled)
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon sweet paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (more to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice (more to taste)
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 to 1/3 cup parmesan (grated)
  • 2 tablespoons parsley (finely chopped)

Modo de preparo

  1. 1

To a large bowl, add the shrimp. Optional, butterfly the back of each shrimp to make them large.

  2. 2

Season the shrimp with paprika, onion powder, oregano, cumin, salt, and black pepper.

  3. 3

Add olive oil to a pan over high heat. Once hot, add the shrimp in, making sure not to overcrowd them. Sear on one side for 2 minutes or until golden and then flip over to sear the other side. Remove from the pan once fully cooked.

  4. 4

To the same pan, add more butter and minced garlic. Saute garlic for a minute and then add lemon juice to deglaze the pan. Scrape the bottom of the pan and add the chicken broth and red pepper flakes.

  5. 5

Bring the broth to a boil and then lower the heat. Add the parmesan and parsley.

  6. 6

Finally, add back in the shrimp. Combine all together, taste, and adjust anything to your linking.

  7. 7

Enjoy warm with crispy bread or pasta!
