Este bife de porco à moda filipina leva costeletas de porco macias marinadas em molho de soja e calamansi, depois fritas na frigideira e cozidas lentamente até ficarem bem macias. O molho saboroso e levemente ácido combina perfeitamente com arroz cozido no vapor e rende uma refeição caseira e satisfatória.

Ingredientes

  • 4 pieces pork chops
  • 5 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 pieces lime or calamansi (juiced)
  • 2 pieces onions (sliced)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 teaspoon granulated white sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup cooking oil
  • salt and ground black pepper (to taste)

Modo de preparo

    Combine pork chops, soy sauce, and lime juice in a large bowl or resealable bag. Marinate for at least 1 hour.

    Heat a pan and pour in cooking oil.

    Pan fry the marinated pork chops over medium heat for 3 minutes per side. Remove the pork chops and set aside.

    Using the remaining oil, sauté the garlic until it starts to brown.

    Add half of the onions. Sauté until the onion softens.

    Pour in the remaining marinade and water. Add back the pork chops and simmer for 45 minutes or until the pork is tender. Add water as needed.
