The ultra-beefy flavor of these rich and satiating burgers is so incredible you may find it hard to go back to regular ground beef burgers. And besides being out of this world when it comes to flavor, they are ridiculously easy to make. Get ready to take your backyard BBQ burgers to the next level.
📝 Ingredients
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup (30g) bread crumbs
- 2-3 tablespoons (30-45ml) Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 pounds (680g) beef brisket, (ground)
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon green onions, (minced (or regular onions))
- Salt and pepper, (to taste)
- 2 tablespoons burger seasoning ((optional))
👨🍳 Instructions
- 1--- Prepare the Brisket and Grill ---
- 2Start by trimming any excess fat from the brisket. Use a meat grinder to grind the brisket, or ask your butcher to do it for you. Alternatively, you can purchase pre-ground brisket from a local market or butcher
- 3Preheat a gas grill to medium-high heat (around 400-450°F or 204-232°C). If using a charcoal grill, light the coals and let them burn until covered with white ash. Create a two-zone fire by placing the charcoal on one side of the grill, leaving the other side without charcoal.
- 4In a small or medium bowl, combine eggs, Worcestershire sauce, and bread crumbs. Mix until the ingredients are fully combined.
- 5Add the ground brisket to the bowl. Also, add minced garlic, minced green onions, salt, and pepper, seasoned to taste. Optionally, include 1-2 tablespoons of burger seasoning for enhanced flavor.
- 6Use your hands or a spoon to thoroughly mix all the ingredients together until well incorporated.
- 7Divide the mixture into equal portions, depending on the number of burgers you want to make. Aim for 6-8 patties. Ensure they are evenly thick and slightly larger than your burger buns.
- 8Repeat the process until all the minced brisket is used.
- 9--- Grill the Brisket Burgers ---
- 10Place the prepared burger patties on the preheated grill. Cook for approximately 2-3 minutes per side without moving them to achieve a nice sear on the outside.
- 11Continue grilling the burgers until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) for a safe and delicious result.
- 12If desired, during the last 2 minutes of grilling, toast the burger buns on the grill to add a delightful crispness.
- 13Remove the burgers from the grill and allow them to rest for a few minutes. This helps retain their juices and ensures a flavorful bite.
- 14Serve the delicious brisket burgers on toasted buns. Enhance their taste by adding your favorite toppings like lettuce, tomato, onion, or cheese.
- 15Sit back, savor the flavors, and enjoy your perfectly grilled brisket burgers!
