📝 Ingredients

  • 8 chicken legs, bone-in and skin-on ( (about 2 1/4 pounds))
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika ((sweet or smoked))
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. 1Mix spice rub: In a small bowl combine the salt, garlic powder, paprika, chili powder, ground cumin and black pepper. Set aside
  2. 2Preheat air fryer: Preheat the air fryer to 400º Fahrenheit according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  3. 3Prep: Pat the chicken legs dry with paper towels.
  4. 4Season chicken drumsticks: Place the chicken in a bowl or in a resealable plastic bag and drizzle with oil. Toss to combine. This will help the spices to stick to the chicken and also get the chicken crispier.
  5. 5Sprinkle the spice mix over the chicken and toss to coat.
  6. 6Place into air fryer: Arrange the chicken legs on a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  7. 7Cook for 10 minutes. Flip the chicken legs over and cook for an additional 10 minutes or until the chicken registers an internal temperature of 165º Fahrenheit when a meat thermometer is inserted at the thickest part without touching the bone.
  8. 8Serve: Transfer to a plate and allow to rest for 5 minutes then, serve hot.
