These tender BBQ Country Style Ribs are slow-cooked to perfection and packed with rich Southern flavor. Smothered in sweet and smoky barbecue sauce, this easy country-style ribs recipe makes a hearty, down-home dinner the whole family will love!
📝 Ingredients
- 4 lbs boneless country style ribs
- 2-3 Tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 cup packed dark brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp dark chili powder
- 2-3 tsp garlic salt
- 1 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp lemon pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp ground mustard
- 1 cup barbecue sauce, plus additional for serving (use your favorite)
- chives or green onions for garnishing.
👨🍳 Instructions
- 1Preheat oven to 350°F. Cover a rimmed pan with heavy duty aluminum foil and spray with cooking spray.
- 2Lay ribs on a piece of parchment paper. Drizzle with oil.
- 3In a small bowl, whisk together brown sugar, chili powder, garlic salt, cumin, lemon pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika and ground mustard.
- 4Rub ribs on all sides with the dry rub. Arrange on prepared pan.
- 5Cover ribs with foil and transfer pan to the oven. Immediately lower the oven temperature to 325°F.
- 6Bake for 2 1/2 - 3 hours. Uncover and test for doneness, the pork should easily shred with a fork.
- 7Increase oven temperature to broil. Brush ribs with barbecue sauce and broil to char carefully turning for even browning.
- 8Let ribs stand 5 minutes, then serve.
