This shredded slow cooker honey mustard chicken is a simple, but delicious chicken entree that you can make in your Crockpot with minimal effort. The tender meat is perfect to serve with any of your favorite side dishes.
📝 Ingredients
- 2 pounds chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 cup yellow mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch ((optional))
👨🍳 Instructions
- 1Add chicken, honey, mustard, black pepper, soy sauce, and diced garlic to a slow cooker.
- 2Cook on high for 3-4 hours, or on low for 6-8 hours.
- 3Use a hand mixer or two forks to shred the chicken in the Crockpot.
- 4If the sauce is very thin, you can thicken it by combining cornstarch in a small bowl with cold water to form a paste (called a cornstarch slurry). Mix this paste into the sauce with the chicken, and cook on low for another 20 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened to your liking. This step is typically not required if you cook the chicken on low, using high quality meat.
