- 2Rinse the brown basmati rice thoroughly, repeating the process 2-3 times until the water runs clear. This helps to remove excess starch from the rice grains.Note: This is a no-soak method, and my rice always turns out soft, fluffy, and separated.
- 3Add the rinsed brown basmati rice, water (or vegetable broth), oil, and salt to the Instant Pot steel insert. Give the mixture a quick stir.Securely close the lid and set the vent to "SEALING". Then, choose the PRESSURE COOK/MANUAL (High Pressure) setting and adjust the cooking time to 22 minutes.
- 4When the Instant Pot beeps, allow the pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes, and then open the lid.Use a fork or ladle to fluff up the rice. Do not stir.
