Healthy and delicious, our Marinated Japanese Mushrooms are packed with umami flavour and essential nutrients. Perfect as a standalone snack or side dish!

📝 Ingredients

  • 500 g Asian mushrooms (shiitake, enoki, shimeji)
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil (or vegetable oil)
  • 1 1/2 tbsp dashi stock
  • 3 tbsp rice wine vinegar
  • 1 1/2 tbsp tamari
  • 2 tbsp mirin

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. 1Prepare the mushrooms by removing stems and clusters and slicing them to 2mm thickness.
  2. 2Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat and sauté mushrooms until browned and wilted.
  3. 3Turn off heat, add marinade ingredients and mix well.
  4. 4Transfer the mushrooms and marinade to an airtight container and refrigerate overnight for best results.
